Refund Policy

Effective date: 1 June 2025 · Last updated: 1 June 2025

Studyssey is committed to a fair and transparent refund policy. Because a portion of our costs are incurred the moment work begins on your application, refunds are partial. This page explains exactly what you are entitled to, under what conditions, and how to request it.

Our admission guarantee

If no university from your confirmed shortlist issues an admission offer, Studyssey will refund 70% of your upfront payment, with no questions asked. You only pay the full fee when you succeed.

1. Payment Structure

Studyssey charges a split platform fee across two milestones:

PlanTotal FeeUpfront (40%), due at submissionFinal (60%), due on admission
Basic€150€60€90
Standard€250€100€150
Premium€400€160€240

The upfront payment covers: document verification (AI + manual review), Letter of Motivation generation, university application submission, VPD processing where applicable, and platform operational costs. These services are fully delivered before any admission decision is received.

The final payment is due only if you receive an admission offer from any university in your confirmed shortlist. If no offer is received, the final payment is never charged.

2. Refund Entitlement

You are entitled to a partial refund of your upfront payment if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Your application was submitted to all universities in your confirmed shortlist.
  • None of the universities in your confirmed shortlist issued an admission offer (conditional or unconditional).
  • You provided complete, genuine, and unaltered documents throughout the process.
  • You did not cancel the application after submission.
  • The application was not rejected due to late document submission on your part.
  • You submit a refund request within 90 days of the final rejection or non-response from all shortlisted universities.

A refund request must be submitted in writing to support@studyssey.com. Studyssey will review and verify the outcome before issuing any refund.

3. Refund Amounts

The refund amount is 70% of the upfront payment you made. The remaining 30% is retained to cover costs already incurred.

4. When Refunds Do Not Apply

A refund will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Student-initiated cancellation: You cancel the application after it has been submitted to any university. Once submission is initiated, operational costs cannot be recovered.
  • Fraudulent or altered documents: Your application is rejected or suspended because you submitted false, forged, or altered documents (passport, transcripts, certificates, etc.). In such cases, no refund is available and fees may be forfeited entirely.
  • Incomplete documents: You provided materially incomplete documents that prevented submission to one or more universities in your confirmed shortlist.
  • Late document submission: The application missed a university deadline because you failed to submit requested documents within the timeframe communicated by Studyssey.
  • Offer received and declined: You received an admission offer from any university in your confirmed shortlist but chose not to accept it. The service obligation is fulfilled upon receipt of any offer, whether or not you accept it.
  • Ineligibility discovered after payment: The application cannot proceed because information you provided was inaccurate (e.g., incorrect CGPA, nationality, or academic background).
  • Expired refund window: You submit a refund request more than 90 days after the last rejection or non-response from all shortlisted universities.
  • Account terminated for cause: Your account is terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
